Early Life and Education

Din Muktar, known online as Agent 00, was born and raised in Toronto, Canada, to Ethiopian immigrant parents of the Harari ethnic group. He developed a passion for gaming at the age of four, starting with the PlayStation 1 and titles like Call of Duty. Din pursued higher education at Brock University in Ontario, majoring in Sport Management. However, he decided to drop out during his third year to focus on his burgeoning YouTube career, citing the financial burden and the rapid growth of his online presence as key factors in his decision.

Channel Origins

Agent 00 launched his YouTube channel, originally named CallMeAgent00, in January 2013. He uploaded his first video three months later, featuring gameplay from Grand Theft Auto. Over time, he shifted his focus to NBA 2K content, providing gameplay, reviews, and challenges that resonated with a growing audience.

In October 2022, Agent 00 faced a legal issue when he was arrested for allegedly failing to appear in court, despite his claim of attending the scheduled date. He spent 24 hours in jail and had his driver's license suspended. Agent 00 later discussed the incident publicly, expressing his frustration and the impact it had on him.
